CREATED 2 PRINT
Created2Print is our primary print supplier, using 100% recycled paper stock to produce all of Guruhuahua’s square format greeting cards, and limited edition archival prints. An award winning South Australian company based in the City of Adelaide, Created2Print proudly boasts being ‘Home of the World’s First 100% Solar Powered Printing Machines’. Their offset presses use soy & vegetable based inks; they recycle 100% of their aluminium press plates after use, and their range of eco-merchandise is made from a combination of recycled and biodegradable products. In addition to this, they donate a substantial amount of their waste paper to local schools, and recycle the remains.
THE SUSTAINABLE PRINTING COMPANY
The Sustainable Printing Co. are responsible for printing our A3 posters, and the portrait format greeting card reproductions of our early paper cut collages. A Victorian company based in North Fitzroy, The Sustainable Printing Co use 100% recycled papers to provide green printing products such as postcards, business cards, brochures, Greeting Cards, swing tags, labels, stickers, posters and flyers. They view sustainability as a responsibility and the foundation on which their business is run. There is a fantastic page on their website which goes into detail regarding how and why they print sustainably, and reasons why renewable and eco-friendly practices need to be embraced both collectively, and by each individual, to maintain prosperity and quality of life.
ORGANIC PRINT STUDIO
Organic Print Studio is a sustainable textile printing house which is Australian Certified Organic. Based in Bayswater, Victoria, the Studio is run by Susy Kennedy, who strives to ethically source materials which minimise impact on the environment. Her primary products are organic cotton tea towels, and organic cotton tote bags, printed using water-based inks which meet organic standard. Designs are either supplied by the client or developed in collaboration with local artists, and all are printed in Susy’s Melbourne studio using top-quality Australian Certified Organic cotton. This company supplies our 100% organic printed cotton tea towels, and tote bags.
BUY ECO GREEN
We purchase our 100% recycled envelopes, paper bags, biodegradable sellotape, and packaging supplies from Buy Eco Green , an Australian based online shop specialising in green office supplies, school supplies and art and craft products.
SHIPPING & PACKAGING
Guruhuahua prefers to use shipping materials made from recycled & compostable materials. When this is not possible, we ensure our shipping materials are reusable, fully recyclable, and free from plastics. To safely transport our greeting cards we use Jiffy recycled paper padded mailers, which are suitable for reuse, or kerbside paper collection and recycling. We use biodegradable sellotape for larger items or securing loose ends - this can be removed from the item and disposed of in your green waste kerbside collection.
